About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead and support our sales team in our Forex advisory business. This role involves coaching and mentoring consultants, driving sales strategy, and collaborating across departments to ensure business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, experience working within both B2B and B2C markets, and a proven track record in managing referral partner networks. The role also requires frequent travel, both locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Sales Consultants to review progress and plan ahead
  • Identify coaching opportunities and provide training support
  • Track performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement
  • Ensure CMS updates and sales data are accurately maintained
  • Support consultants before and after key meetings to drive success
  • Join consultants in the field for hands-on support and training
  • Provide positive reinforcement when team members achieve success

Sales Strategy & Performance

  • Develop and execute sales initiatives and campaigns
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and suggest improvements
  • Set individual and team sales targets to align with business goals
  • Implement incentive plans to drive motivation and high performance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners and introducers
  • Travel locally and internationally as required to support business development and maintain client relationships

Marketing Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure a steady flow of social media content, insight pieces, and marketing materials
  • Help with quarterly IFA news updates and cross-group sales efforts
  • Track key marketing analytics to measure effectiveness
  • Provide marketing with contact lists for welcome emails and campaigns

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Attend and contribute to key meetings:
    • Weekly Treasury meeting – update on sales and marketing
    • Weekly Treasury Management Meeting – share sales wins, challenges, and new opportunities
    • Monthly Cross-Sales Meeting (Group)
  • Support Treasury initiatives and company-wide sales projects
  • Suggest improvements for CMS (forex) and other sales systems

Handling Issues & Complaints

  • Address client concerns efficiently and professionally
  • Work with consultants to fix problems, including training or disciplinary steps with management and HR

Operations & Leadership Support

  • Help OD maintain and improve processes
  • Act on OD feedback regarding the team and implement necessary improvements
  • Support the MD in driving business objectives and ensuring team alignment
Qualifications
  • BCom Finance, Economics, Business or similar
Experience
  • 5+ years in a sales leadership role, preferably in financial services or a related industry
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C sales, with a strong understanding of referral partner networks
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., CMS for forex) and data analytics
Skills
  • Strong coaching ability, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
