This Fund is suitable for an investor seeking to achieve a return of US inflation (CPI) + 3% or more in rand terms over rolling three-year periods at moderate to aggressive risk levels. The Fund will tend to have a high allocation to global equities and global listed property at all times in order to achieve its objective.

FUND STRATEGY
To achieve its investment objective this fund will, apart from assets in liquid form, will invest in equity securities (including common stocks, preference shares and other securities with equity characteristics or conferring the right to acquire equity securities), bonds (fixed and/or floating, government and/or corporate) and money market instruments (including, but not limited to commercial paper, certificates of deposit, banker’s acceptance, notice deposits, debentures and treasury bills all of which have a maturity of less than one year). The manager may from time to time invest in listed and unlisted financial instruments in accordance with the provisions of the Act, and the Regulations thereto as amended from time to time, in order to achieve the portfolio’s investment objective. The portfolio may also invest in participatory interests and other forms of participation in portfolios of collective investment schemes, registered in South Africa and other similar schemes operated in territories with a regulatory environment which is to the satisfaction of the manager and the trustee of a sufficient standard to provide investor protection at least equivalent to that in South Africa and which is consistent with the portfolio’s primary objective.
