Tladi is the current CEO of the J&J Group, and has a portfolio of investments which includes Concessions (rail Gautrain), Roads (N1-N2), Prisons projects, Energy (both renewable and non-renewables), Aurora, Property Development and Sammy Marks. He has been involved in project development and implementation over the past 21 years, in partnership with a number of construction companies where he was an integral member of the teams bidding for the construction-related Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) projects. Tladi holds an MA degree (with a functional concentration in Development Economics) from Columbia University in the city of New York and a BA degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, USA. He completed his GCE O Levels at the Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College (SOMAFCO), an ANC-run college in Morogoro, Tanzania. Tladi is the current chairman of the Utho Capital SMME Infrastructure Fund, capitalised by both the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA). He is the former Chairman of Export Credit Insurance Corporation of South Africa Limited (ECIC), and Kelvin Power Holdings.
