With 18 years of credit experience, Charl Greyvensteyn gained expertise during his tenure at Standard Bank and Absa, focusing on specialised finance, project finance, acquisition & leveraged finance, securitisation, structured trade & commodity finance, commercial property finance, and corporate banking across all sectors. Charl's extensive credit background encompasses both structuring and sanctioning, including serving as a quorum member on various credit committees. Bringing in-depth managerial experience, primarily within the specialized and corporate banking credit teams. After transitioning to front-office sales in 2015 as the Regional Head of mid-Corporates Northern, Northwest, and Free State regions, Charl advanced to become the Head of Agriculture for Absa Corporate Banking across Africa. Following this, he joined GroCapital in January 2019 as Managing Director and Executive Director of Agriculture before joining Merchant West in January 2021 as the Regional Head for Pretoria. Charl currently serves as Director of agriculture and Regional Offices at Merchant West. Charl holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Strategic Management from the University of Johannesburg.
